Blisteringly hot day for my historically themed walk as part of Open Garden Squares weekend.  A lovely group of people.  Grateful for the shade in the City’s green spaces.

The congregations of flowers in Christ Church Newgate Street at its best – with one small exception!

IMG_20170617_123103179We ended up on the roof of Eversheds Sutherland’s building in Wood Street where there is an extraordinary garden: deep beds heaving with veg … beehives … heather… and a flypast by the Red Arrows accompanied by a peel from St Paul’s!  Which, obviously, I arranged specially.

Or it might just have something to do with the Queen’s official birthday.
